oil for hot weather

STop in to a bike shop here in Vegas, and he recommended 20w-60 for the hot season in vegas. Sound reasonable?

The guy was on the money, here in FL where day temp is 95F or more 20-60 keep things nice an cool or at least as cool as it can. Now I wish they made a 30-70, or maybe I should pull the horn on my softtail and install a big fan.
