30 in the front seems a little low. I was told by the local dealer to follow the tire manufactures rate. I run 35 PSI on the front Dunflop.

You think so? (I have always aired it up to the specs in the owner's manual) Ummm....I'll check on that. Thanks

That the tire maker’s recommendations were based on testing at the max speed and load ratings of that particular tire’s design and has little or nothing to do with the individual vehicle it might be installed on.
In the case of tires the vehicles manufacturer’s recommendations were always to take precedence over the tires markings. Because they have actually tested the originally installed tire design on THEIR vehicle, where the tire maker has to cover their asses and mark it with the knowledge that it might be stuck on virtually anything with that rim size.
It makes sense when you consider that the tire maker is also selling the same design as an over the counter replacement item. Once it enters the aftermarket arena all bets are off and they need to cover their butts for product liability reasons. Even when they don’t have a clue what someone could stuck it on.

RE: Slight wobble around 40mph
This sounds familiar. The manual does say 30 psi. But the tech manuals the HD mechanics use says 35 psi.
I use 35 psi in my FXSTS snd XL1200C front narrow tires.
I had the 40 mph wobble on my springer and it was a combination of things:
1. Air pressure.
2. Two loose spokes.
3. T-bag on passenger seat. (wind hitting flat surface like a spoiler)
