I use the 93 octane. Very few of the 3 hose stations around here anymore so I just buy it wherever and hope it rounds out to at least 91. I haven't had any problems yet. I also add a little Stabil Marine for ethanol in every fresh tank.

I see someone else said that they too live by a race track. I am only miles away from an oval track and the gas station here in town sells 110 and thats what I use. I also don't have a stock motor though but it's no beast or anything either. If I am out and about riding away from home then I just go with the highest octane I can get. I do carry a few octane boosters in my little pack too. I also work for a chemical company and there really is a differance in gas's out there so I try to stay with one paticular brand of gas too, Mobile, and No, I do not work for Mobile either!!

The sticker on my 99 EVO Softail Custom says 87 or higher octane, and that is what I use in the winter. In hot weather I use 89. There is no benefit from running higher than what your bike calls for unless your motor has some big upgrades, like higher compression. If it doesn't ping its good. That is why I use 89 in hot weather as that is when it is more likely to pre ignite.

How about some good ole Sunoco 260 from the early mid 60's,
