Bike would run like crap. Never. only use the best highest octane. You could get away with mid grade but why skimp.

I have when there was no other option. My bike didn't run like crap but it probably would have if it would have been hotter. I always use the highest octane available.

93 octane (R+M)/2 in all the bikes, all the time... Why let the ECM retard the timing and make the bike run hotter and produce less power in order to save a few dimes per gallon on fuel...

No. Highest octane available. Prefer no ethanol. Fortunately have available 3 miles from the house.

I run 91. If I came across higher, wouldn't do me any good to run it, and running an air-cooled engine in Phoenix means the computer will have to compensate for low octane.

93 Shell 95% of the time and the other is BP or other premium gas that I'm around....sometimes a bit of VP MS-109
