I have the bolts also. If you notice it bottoming out, you can dial in some more preload. That's what I did and it worked good.

+1 on the bolts they are by far the cheapest biggest impact mod you can do. I used the bumper of my truck and a jack for my press worked great and now the bike rides awesome. I have it about 1/4 off the bumps when seated and I only bottom out on really big bumps. A higher speeds it seems to never bottom out. As far as the shotguns go I was going to go to progressives 422 myself but as alot on here have said of your not riding two up why bother spending the money. Bolts work fine.

Lowered mine 2" front and rear, bolts in the rear. Love it so far. Jack still barely fits, but not while on side stand. Have to hold bike vertical while sliding the jack under. It's a pretty low pro jack though.

I bought bolts from a vender (not named to protect the innocent). Paid 80, no press so I bought the whole dam shock for 120. Anyone want a set of bolts for cost?

My lowering bolts and front springs both just got in. *I was trying to decide on doing this myself or taking the shocks in. *Only thing holding me back was the lack of a press but it looks like I can use the jack to get the shocks apart. *

The bolts I got are the progressives in the pic below. *They should go on the same way right?

Yep, same deal. The stock bolts have locknuts on the end where the Progressive set has the little round clip and what looks like plain nuts.
