Because this is the dominate blackline thread right now I will post this here.
On a long ride late last week my ignition switch 'cover/****' fell off! Its the part that you turn, it grips the lock barrel. There is a small set screw on the bottom on the **** that you can tighten with the ignition in the on position. I can still turn it on with the key and off by hand but I have to death grip the crap out of it.
$16.99 for a replacement, I may just figure out something custom....

Happened to me also. Ignition switch set screw is too tight causing the ignition cylinder to bind. Try backing off the set screw.
