Default Detailing details...

My girlfriend bought a 2001 Heritage in pretty good mechanical shape. It has 32k on the clock. Cosmetically it was a little rough around the edges so i decided a full detail was in order.
The front wheel was rebuilt with a rust free rim and more or less rust free spokes. I also stripped and polished the scabby fork sliders. A chrome bolt topper kit cleaned up most of the corroded hardware.
I washed it with turtle wax shampoo and dried it thoroughly with a chamois. Meguiars Gold Class polish was then used on the body work for a deep shine. Good old autosol and generic chrome cleaner brought the shiny stuff to life. I used Poorboys whitewall cleaner on the rubber and I cant recommend it highly enough. Harley's own engine brightener brought the engine up like new. Amazing.
After a lot of hard work the end results were worth all the effort.

After...

This winter she will be fitted with an easy pull clutch kit,a new cam chest cover and a few other little bits and pieces that have corroded.

Bike looks good, now just apply some reflector remover and it'll be all done!
