Default Pricing on softail.

Can someone tell me what a 2000 Heritage Soft tail classic with 12,000 miles is worth? Saddle bags, wind shield, extra set of screaming eagle pipes and single seat. Just want to get a rough idea. I am new to owning a Harley and this may be my first bike.

What you posted is not a Heritage, but a base model Softail Standard.

$8,500-$9,000

Default OK thanks

See I do not know much about the bikes yet so I am asking. I can buy this for $6750. What is the difference in the Heritage? Any guess on what the extra Pipes are worth?

NADA (in my zip code) says $6,741, including the bags, pipes, and windshield, so he's asking a fair price. IMHO, the pipes don't add any value unless those are the pipes you would have put on your bike anyway. Differences? Both bikes are built on the same frame, but off the top of my head, the Heritage has a different seat, smaller, fatter front tire, it comes with bags and a windshield, different lights, has floorboards, different colored engine, different fenders, and probably a few more that I can't remember. Compare some photos side by side. Harley's got the Blackline now, but back then the Softail Standard was their entry level Softail.
If you get it, check the tires. 12 years old-could be some dry rot. Good Luck!

Got this off the web:

2000 Harley-Davidson Softail Heritage FLSTC (crash bar/highway pegs added to this bike)

Heritage Softails bring a lot more money than do the base model bikes. The Softail Standard like you posted in post three is a pretty simple, no frills bike. It has almost no chrome, the 21 inch front wheel and is relatively stripped of extras (but for the pipes, shield and bags). The price for the base standard you mentioned seems pretty fair. I always try to knock a few dollars off on principle, but it appears like a nice motorcycle for what he's asking.
