I have a 2012 FLSTC with V&H longs / Stage 1. Bike has about 2200 miles and was seviced at the dealer @ 1000K. The bike has "popped" when decelerating and decelerating after downshifting from day 1. It doesn't bother me but I'm wondering if it is normal or if it needs a tuning tweek or what. Any thoughts would be appreciated...
Sounds like you need a fuelpak or be tuned. I know when I changed my exhaust and did stage 1 carb mine popped too. Tuned it and everything was good to go.
If you want to kill it totally, you need to advance your ignition timing a little. How to go about this (and indeed, whether it's even possible) will depend on what tuner you've got. Sometimes you can kill it just by changing tuners or maps, because of the ignition timing differences from tuner to tuner or more specifically from map to map. A lot of times it just takes going in and tweaking it manually, as happened to be my case.

I have the same set up as you, "popped" from day one. Where abouts are you at in TX?
I live in Ft Worth area...Mansfield

Thanks...thought that might be the case. 800 mile trip this weekend and will see about a tune upon return.
I don't know! Pathetic huh? Dealer did it when they installed the pipes the day I bought it. I never even asked...
Did they give it to you? Mine too was installed at the dealer, it was a Screaming Eagle Race Tuner (SERT). They gave me the tuner in a box stating " I will need this incase it needs to be tuned"
You can do what I did and give Fuelmoto a call and get a Power Vision tuner. That thing is amazing, and it will handle anything that you could do to your bike in the future. It gives you full control and Jamie is the most upstanding guy. He will set you up and he will be there for the long haul.
