Default Freight Train Nacelle on Deluxe

Morning all...........Just looking through the Harley catalogue and came across the freight train nacelle. They list as fitting the heritage, but not the Deluxe. Just wondering if anyone knows why it won't fit, and if there's a work around. Thanks

It will fit. A lot of us here are running the Nacelle on our Luxe's. Not sure why they say it will not fit .The pull back risers maybe? Just a little trimming of the light bar tabs and you should be set.

there are a couple of long threads in the archives about the install on a deluxe. I took mine to an indy and had it installed for $150. At that price, it wasnt worth doing it myself. The reason the manual says it wont fit is because the passing light bar on the deluxe is too narrow, but all that has to be done is file off the inner "spacers" on the light bar and youre good as gold.

So, I take it that I'd still be able to use my detachable windshield and hardware with the nacelle if I re-contour the opening for the nacelle?

I don't have a shield so not sure about that. But I doubt if you would even have to trim it. Good Luck, pics when done.
