I live about 40, 50 miles S.W. of Chicago in Morris Il. guys, maybe we can get together and ride sometime. There is also a VERY GOOD indy shop here in town too. Some nice country roads out here. Now to the OP's thread. I have an 06 Deluxe and I pulled the springs and dropped in Progressive monotubes and I love it. It's been so long since I rode a springer so I can't fairly comment on it but you can do more with the front end of a bike with conventional front end on it. Just food for thought.
