Just bought a 2012 Deluxe and I really like the HD springer saddlebags.
I've seen the prices on eBay and they are CRAZY !

So after some reading on this Forum, I think I'll buy HOG Deluxe Saddlabags ...
Osprey seems quite different to the Springer model and apparently they sit too far from the bike ... Any advice is welcome here

I have Samson True Dual pipes with Fishtail but in 23,5" ... do you think that they will fit the "Softail Deluxe Old School Detachable Saddlebags"

Also (I haven't called HOGDeluxe yet) but can they fit fringes ?

Not to **** block Hog Deluxe but, the 2 strap non fringe Heritage Springer bags are bags are still available from the MoCo for less than $800 for the set. I'm not sure if the 3 strap fringed bags are still available as well.

 

i ordered the old school bags from hogdeluxe,i have a 05 deluxe with v&h bigshots.he said they would fit,aslong as your pipes are not above rear axle nut.

The 99 part number is the 3 buckle Heritage Springer bag with Fringe.

The 01 part number is the 2 buckle Heritage Springer bag without fringe

They should bolt directly to your fender struts.

Those are HD OEM bags. The 99-00 bags had fringe with 3 buckles, not quick release
The 01-03 bags had no fringe and 2 buckles with quick release.





If you want fringe on the 2 buckle ones I can put you in touch with a leather guy that will add fringe that looks factory.

 

Thank you ! On your White/Red FLSTN do you have Samson Fishtail pipes 23,5" ?

 

I'm not really sure what size they are. I would have to compare them on the Samson site, but they look the same as the ones on your bike.
