Default Heritage Differences?

What are, if any, the differences between a '94 Heritage and an '01 Heritage other than a carburated evo? Do they mount the engine the same, transmission the same??? I had a '98 wide glide and sold it, been riding a friends '01 Heitage. He's not interested in selling it to me so I found a '94, and other than the engine, would like to know any other differences.

Thanks

Allmost everything with the exceptions of tire size and headlamp bulb.
Not trying to be a smart ***, but they are realy two different bikes, not much interchangable.

Main thing I would say is the 94 will be solid mount while the 01 will have the counterbalancer in the twin cam. I've got a 96 and you'll feel the vibes, still love it and rides great to me (it's like riding a real motorcycle).

When Harley introduced the twin-cam powered Heritage back in 2000, they displayed a table with something like 13 parts on it and said they were the only parts the new bike had in common with the Evo Heritage.

Two completely different bikes that look just the same.

Thanks, I did plan on riding before I purchased, just didn't know they changed so much. My Wide Glide had an evo and I had no issues with it. Riding my friends Heritage, the TC has so much more noise than the evo did so figured I'd like the older Heritage with the evo better maybe.

The evo will vibrate more and will have less power.... all things being stock. Either bike will bring a smile to your face. Parts for the evo will cost less as well. Resale on used evos is really down right now as well. Both great bikes in their own rights.

The easiest way to get a lot of really good opinions about anything harley is by reading..

I like to help others learn how to do that and what I've found and use almost everyday to find answers is by doing a Google Search.

Some can be answered in here, but IMO on some questions its better to have almost an unlimited source of info, plus U'll find answers from some of the best Mags and motorcyclist to look up and read.

So that being said here's a link that should really help Ya learn a bunch.

.Evo softail vs TC softail

Heres another one..

https://www.google.com/search?source...o+or+TC+harley

If U read through any/some of these, U should learn a lot..

Thank you all again. I did look thru the stuff these links took me to, and still all that is discussed is the obvious differences in the evo and TC. Nothing other than what 8 UP has posted has told me anything different about the bike itself. I have tried to google "year to year upgrades on heritage models" "Difference in heritage years" "improvements to heritage over the years" and numerous other things i could think to find out anything other than one has an evo and the other a TC. I liked the evo on my previous bike, but was a Wide glide. Currently riding a TC softail that belongs to a friend, so was mainly looking to see any differences in the bike itself. I'm guessing that even if nothing fits from one model to another that they are close enough to not matter.

Unless your eat up with Harley's, they all look the same to most people, execpt for colors, and chrome do-dads.
Saying that, I'v had both, the TC is just a better bike, the newer the better, the EVO is less costly (parts),and more of them out there.
As for the noise, its more than likley your hearing the chains from the balancers and the chain drive cams.
The Heritage Springers seem to hold there value a little more, but they are "high mantance" motorcycles, don't matter if its a TC or EVO.
Thats just MHO
