Default V&H Vs Rush Slip Ons

If you had a choice based on the perfect Harley tone which would you buy. Forget about performance, costs etc.

Rush for tone, V&H BSS for looks. I just switched from Rush to BSS and the Rush sounded better.

I like the sound of the rush pipes on my bike a lot more than the V&H shortshots on the OL's.

I'm a big fan of true duels but I recently saw an ad in AIM for softail duels stating "More Power-Less Noise". Well I like the loud pipes. I see in this post most of you are partial to the Rush slip-ons. Has anyone heard the true duels on an 07?? I hate to spend the money and not be happy with the sound and the Rush Slip-ons are soo much cheaper that if I did not like them I would not be out a lot of $$. Any thoughts, opinions, or other suggestions?????

I think the general consensus, from those who have them (including me), is that the Rush slipons make just about the best sound out there. Volume deoends on which baffles you choose, but the tone is there no matter what.

Many softailers find the 2" baffles to be the best combination of tone and volume. Others, me included, find the 1.75" to be just right. You order the mufflers with the baffles you want, but they're easy to replace if you want to experiment moving up or down a size.

But you can't go wrong with Rush. Also, they have terrific customer service, should you ever need it.
