rush w/ 175" baffles suppose to be louder the tru duels?
Hi guys,
Just wanted to get some feedback on this subject. I recently installed rush slip-ons w/ 1.75 baffles.
I recently went into my local Harley dealership and met up with a guy that had a softail deluxe (i have a 11 heritage) and he had V&H tru duels. I asked if i could hear his exhaust and he mine. We where both surprised that my bike in idle was noticeably louder then his. I asked the guy if he has quite baffles installed and he said no he had the stock baffles that came with the pipes. Didn't think anything off it and went in to the dealership.
When i was leaving i met up with two dudes just parking, one guy had roadking (98 police RK) with Sampson tru duels and the other a softail with Vance and Hine true duels.. again mine was louder and they even asked me if i removed the baffles off my pipes.. I said no i'm suppose to have one of the quieter baffles from rush.
So i've been thinking maybe when i ordered my pipes they might have given me 2" or 2.25 baffles. I also notice i'm getting decel popping after reading tons of forum threads your not suppose to get decel popping with 1.5 or 1.75 baffles.
My question is are rush 1.75 suppose to be that loud? I've tried comparing the sound to the you tube vids rush put up but can't tell.
my bike is stock with just the rush muffles (for now), those guys have at the very least stage ones setups that i can see.

I have an 09 Heritage and went with 2 road 3 hours and my ears were raining like crazy. Pulled baffles and stealer exchanged them for 1.75 even though I bought the Rush online.
I know hard to believe. Pipes were great but now 3 yeas later way loud. I need to pull and rewrap the baffles good luck.

Been running 1.75s in my stock Heritage for over 4 years and have never had any popping. Wife has had them in her 08 Deluxe for about 2 years and she also has never had any popping. I think the pipes sound just about right. They do get louder over time and if the baffle packing burns out which mine has done once, they will get a very obnoxious and chitty sound to them.
