Ya the hd kit has 4" risers but the bar isnt as tall. Thats why i dont care for the look.

 

i can get a measure this weekend if you still need it.

 

Absolutely that would be great if you could still measure yours.

 

The 4" risers with apes look out of place to me as well.

 

I had the 18 inch gangster apes and they ran tall. I also had the Carli piston Risers so that made my apes around 20'' tall.

 

I got 14 inch gangsters 1.5 dia, from the top of the forks to the top of the bar measures 17 inches.

 

I agree, the 4" risers just don't look right with apes at all. Well, IMHO that is. I am ordering my bars this wensdsday, along with risers, cables and switching over to hydraulic clutch so I can do all internals. I just can't pin it down if I want the Gangsters or the Flying apes. So, pics of these 2 bars are always nice to see. I am also watching this thread for bar height as well.

Fatso how tall are you? Im trying to get my handlebar sizing right and that picture helps a lot.

 

I have Flying Apes (16", 1.25") on a Deluxe and they are probably really 17.5". I am 6 foot and they are maybe 1" above my shoulders. I have the Daddy Long Legs seat so I sit low and back on the bike. SJ Ron
