I kind of have a wierd request. I have a 2012 fatboy lo and i have the 16" ape and riser kit from hd. I dont really care for the kit and i am wanting to go to the carlinis. Is there any way i can get someone to measure from the top of the forks where the risers bolt on to the highest point on the bar and also from the same point on the fork to the controls? I am wanting to reuse my existing cables but i want to make sure they will work before i purchase the carlinis. I know carlinis run a little taller so i just want to make sure. I was unable to get a answer on what lengths were to be used from carlini they just wanted to sell me a cable kit. I want either the gangster apes or the flying apes i havent made up my mind yet.

 

Hmmm I always thought Carlinis were a little smaller then most other apes when comparing size.

 

The only carlinis that run taller are the flying apes.

 

When I get home, I can measure for you. The Carlini Flying Apes (1.25") run about 1.5" higher than the stated measurements. The 16" are 17.5". I believe it's only the Flying Apes that are 1.25" that run high. SJ Ron

 

I have gangster and they are slightly taller than 16".

 

When I get a chance I will do this for you. A guess off the top of my head is 17.5" or 18". I have Flying Apes 16".

 

It is about 19".

 

Mine are about 19 3/4" from the top of the fork to the highest point on the bar. Here are a couple pics.

 

Was anyone else able to measure there bars?

 

Those risers are far taller than the Carlini risers which are about 1.25-1.5" wehre the bars mount.
