They gave you these plaques for your bike.

Those where supplied by the dealership, not the MoCo. I have one for my 2005 Road Glide, never got one for any other new bike I bought.

I never got one of those for my `89 Softail (according to you that is when Harley cared about me).

Another one for the whiners section.

I got one of those for my 2016 Softail Slim S purchase. It's hanging on the wall in my workshop.

Don't get me wrong, I think those plaques are neat! But...the MoCo didn't care about you then, only profits. Same as now. That plaque is basically just a "participation trophy" from the dealership you bought the bike from. Some give out shirts, others plaques.

Not a dam thing wrong with profit. What happen to HD is flat out greed and not giving a Dam about dealers that made the product sell.

I received the same plaque when I purchased my 2004 FXSTSI from the now closed Brooklyn HD. I also received a Harley Davidson's VHS Video Cassette;
