I did the $70 kuryakyn cig lighter mounted on my left bag guard, no problem reaching down and using it..

I just put a bic lighter in my inside pocket, Butane is better, use to stash it in my glove but its not comfortable after a while

Check out my photo album I have one mounted next to my seat that I made. I also have one mounted under my batwing fairing that's quick detachable.

I made this one for about $35 with everything.. Never blown a fuse or had a problem lighting a smoke while rollin down the road..

the lighter came with its own L bracket.. ..remove the chrome cover,,,, i just drilled a couple small holes in the bottom to mount lighter bracket , and run a hot wire directly to the battery. everything was staineless looking...
