Question Lets see some customized yellow softails!

I just bought a 2012 Chrome Yellow Fatboy...is there anyone that has some pics of some cool customized ones?! I obviously see a ton of black/denim black versions when I do searches...surely someone has gone all out with yellow?!

Love that color. At least one other in here.
For starters, ditch the reflectors, then lower the rear end.

Sounds like a cool/cheap mod...I'll take the advice and ditch those...along with some lowering bolts for the rear (or progressive shocks)...

Default Nice

B4,
Nice new ride. Very good looking in yellow...and unique.
You've already got some tasteful chrome touches on it.
I am a big fan of the owners who put the 2 smaller passing lamps flanking that big headlight...but LEAVE the forward blinkers on the bars (where they belong on a Fatboy).

Like that other poster said..you can remove those federally mandated reflectors with just your hands (or a NON-metal scraper or something), then rub off the remaining stick-um with some Goo-Gone or similar non-abrasive cleaner. I left my reflectors on for FAR too long and like the look much better with them off. If you ever want them back, they are cheap from the dealer (the removed ones will be ueless without the adheasive backing which will be destroyed once removed).

My brother's original 90Fatboy has SOME yellow on it...ha ha, but it's just the 7 accent 'rings' from the urban legend.

Ride safe, nice Fatboy.

Chrome, chrome and more chrome! Just a suggestion, how 'bout a chrome tail light cover. Are those stock grips? I can't tell from the picture. Are you planing on riding 2 up w/wife/gf? It looks like you are w/the passenger pegs...if you're not, and your seat is 2 seperate pieces (mine is) take off the passenger seat because you would not beleive the crap that gets under it!!

Lol, yeah I didn't realize those reflectors were so easy to ditch...I'm going to get after those today since they're an eye sore IMO too. And my first mod has been tinted blinker covers...for $20 I got the smoked lens/bulbs on EBay...which gives a nice look.

Cool thing was the bike had a mere 288 miles on it and basically came along with $3500 in chrome HD parts/windshield/alarm (which the pods were still in the wrappers).

I tried removing the passenger seat, but I don't like those 2 big a$$ bolts that stick out like a sore thumb left behind the seat...so to the aftermarket we go for a new solo. I bought the wife a '12 Slim so there's no need for the extra seat for sure!

My inspiration is to go with a old school hot rod look so we'll go from there...I guess there's not many custom yellow bikes out there based on pics thus far?

Not a big yellow fan but I think blacking out the chrome would really make the yellow pop. It would be a great contrast. Flat black and yellow would be cool. Adding some beach bars would be cool also. Actually that would look sick. Good luck.
