You can visually check them. Also, 1500 bucks to change them sounds way too high...

so I dont guess I am getting it...I am about to do this upgrade with HD kit. What is the option if Andrews kit is out for changing the rear chain? or am I missing that its not necessary to change rear chain?

I did the upgrade on my cams when I did the 95" big bore I went with the woods roller chain conversion kit talked to Bob Woods and his kit includes everything you need for the up grade all bearings gaskets, and seals and it changes the rear chain to a roller chain also the kit sells for 620.00 and has everything you neeed except the cams I went with woods cams the TW 555 R or as its called the triple nickel woods cams are a little pricy they were 390.00 that and the 95'' pistons new lifters ported and polished heads and changed the stock ignition to Dyna tec twin cam ignition modual (bike is carbed) It now runs like hell bike is a 06 Heritage Classic

Andrews makes cams and chains to retrofit to the roller chain in the rear. They just got pushed out of offering the whole kit because H-D didn't want Andrews selling H-D branded parts. So if you get the SE plate and pump and front chain upgrade kit from H-D and the cams you want from Andrews you'll have the complete kit. $1500 is about what most dealers will charge to do this swap. I did mine for right about $900 including tools needed. I had never done it before and took about 5 hours taking my time and double checking.
