Default Just a Warning over Chinese Cheapish products on eBAY.

OK Guys,
I personally have no problems with well made over seas built stuff, but I have had 3 experiences with overly cheap products I would like to warn you off.
1 - The ABS Plastic Engine Covers advertised as 'chrome covers' very cheap sets from Ebay .. are Garbage, should be thrown away, even if it was 1$, it is 1$ thrown in the Garbage.
2 - Tire Markers (Tire paint pens), again, very cheap, got 2 for 5$ delivered, absolutely useless, will work only on two or three letters max with uneven density, looked horriple, were wiped and gone to garbage.

I am on contact with PayPal to get my few $ back and left feedback to worn others.

3 - This one was medicore,
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/400335384113?...84.m1497.l2649

9" flame Heat shield covers for most pipes, it was 30$ for both pieces, to be honest , it does not look that great but it ain't too bad either for what it is. and it does not look too bad on the bike.

In General,
If it is too cheap, maybe it is not as good as it should be.
<end of rant>

eBay has been inundated by this cheap Chinese knock-off stuff. Blatant copies of name brand items. I so far have resisted the urge. Buyer beware!

I haven't done a search there recently, but it used to be page after page of direct from Hong Kong listings of copies of just about every part offered.

OP, your bike looked great. Take that thing off. I understand the desire to continually do things to the bike, but there reaches a point where you can actually ruin the looks of a bike.

FYI, you can search by "North America" eBay listings. ...but yeah, even a lot of that crap is made in China.

I am trying to stay away from most Chinese made crap. They are dumping junk and dangerous products upon us, and we buy it up because its cheap. I'm steering clear. It grieves me that so many Harley parts are Chinese made, but it is what it is. Cheaper to make there.
