- Breakout vibrates lot less. I mean, lot less.
- Riding position is more forward on Breakout (also with forward controls). I also ride a Ducati Superbike. This is somewhat of a welcome similarity, allowing you to get more of your weight on your legs over bumpy surfaces.
- Breakout, as a softail, has a smoother ride.
- StreetBob was lighter, but Breakout feels lighter due to its low(er) center of gravity.
Thanks for the feedback

Just sitting on each bike, the street bob seems to "fit" me better with forward controls and my arms almost at eye level with the apes.

The breakout feels like I'm hunching over forward because of the handlebars. Although not uncomfortable it doesn't seem to "fit" like a glove like the street bob.

I could get over that feeling though, I love the way the breakout looks.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Congrats on it. Time to start modding. Good start would be losing the reflectors, that tag mount and lowering it. Hope you have a ball with it.

I resolved the hunched over issue by ordering a set of CVO Breakout bars for mine. I mounted them temporarily yesterday to see how they fit and the position is perfect. Now I just have to figure out how that tank console disassembles and I'll be all set.

Agree wholeheartedly on the ride. Except for how the Breakout handles dips and big gaps in the pavement, the ride is very smooth and balanced. Bike feels like it hugs the road - great sense of stability IMHO. I don't feel hunched over at all - riding position for me feels very natural and comfortable. Did 3 hours yesterday on Texas country roads - the Breakout took good care of my 57 year old body!

Nice! I like the red too.

A few weeks ago, I was offered $14,000 for my Blackline for a black one but my payments would have went up and I just could see it. Or afford it.

Looking forward to seeing them and hearing how they feel. Maybe when I finally decide, I can have the dealership put them on when I order the bike

They'll do that for sure - at an $1100 cost.

a Local dealer quoted me $1400 I would like to be not hunched over but I have gotten use to the bars and they feel more comfortable now, definitely not worht $1400 right now to me.

If I have to run new wires anyway I think I am probably just going to go with the mini-fat apes instead.

No problem,
I actually like leaning forward (hunching) as it helps my back. If I could, I would take the stock bars off and install a set of clip-ons (and rear sets) on the Breakout ;-)..

However, you should get whatever fits you and more importantly whatever makes you happy. I take my Ducati out when I want to carve the roads. Harley is about enjoying the ride.

I also love looking at the Breakout just sitting in the garage..
