Best of Show at Americade 2013
Well my Softail won Best of Show at Americade 2013. I had a fantastic time. I don't think I'll go to other rallies anymore as this rally was so organized and family-oriented with more than anyone could possibly do in one week.
I don't have a pic with the trophy yet but it will be published in Americade Times later in the year. I think my new Black Stingray seat from bitchinseats.com helped me with the win. This show was unlike any I've been in before - there were 5 judges, score sheets, and it was serious. We all cleaned our bikes for four hours before the show. They look at everything, even the insides of your tailpipes. I was up against some classics and some very expensive decked-out Gold Wing trikes. One guy had $12,000 worth of LED lights alone on his.
I won a Tourmaster jacket of my choice, a new set of Dunlop tires of my choice, $50 gift card to the local Harley dealership, two trophies, and got to lead the parade on Saturday right behind the Red Knights and NY State Police.
Plus the bike got a lot of attention to the cause of breast cancer awareness. Numerous survivors (men and women both) came up to me with tears in their eyes, hugging me and not saying much else.
Notice my sidestand plate?
