For you guys looking for a new Softail but don't want ABS I think you better not wait for the 2014 model year as I hear that ABS is going to be standard and there is going to be a 6% increase in price to cover inflation and the price of the standard ABS. Right now ABS and security is packaged together but in 2014 it is my understanding that ABS will be standard and the security will be an option.
Take this information as you see fit, but I did hear this from a couple of what I consider to be reliable sources.

Back to the original topic, ABS on all bikes came one year too late for me. I have a 2013 without.

I hope Harley loosens up and allows install of ABS post factory now. I'd actually get that over a Shotgun Shock right now.

Gosh, a 6% increase puts a Heritage within a few hundred of the Starting price of a 2014 Indian. See, Indians will be competative, they just needed help to pull it off, and Harley was there.

If this 6% increase is accurate and if the ABS being standard is accurate then in reality a 2014 isn't going to cost but a couple hundred more than a 2013.

 

how much was the standard bike & a Standard bike with ABS

think the extra cost for the ABS is what has been added to the cost of the standard bike & not just a straight out increase

HD are not stupid enough to increase to cost of there bikes in the current economic climate
