Hey, sounds like you really want honest opinions, so I'll go for it. Please take no offense. These are just my personal observations and do what you like with your bike.

You really don't have to wrap those pipes at all. Black wrap is not going to add anything to them visually, or practically, IMHO.

The football air cleaner is covering up your engine a bit too much visually. I don't know if it's too late, but a smaller air cleaner, even the S&S teardrop will flow much better.

I'd only run the windshield on longer trips, unless you really feel the need to block out the wind all the time.

I think a blacked out front end would look great on the red sunglo.

White walls, IMHO, go best with a black Slim. They will not flow as well on the red.

You already bought the apes. Not my thing, personally. But I hope they are black.

The stock mirrors and handgrips should be replaced with something a little more vintage styled. They are a little ho hum.

Again, it sounded like you really wanted free flowing opinions, so I offered some. At the end of the day, though, only you know what you like best on your bike.

As an overarching principal though, I'd say take a look at the bikes on the Slim thread listed above. You'll notice a lot of the really great looking ones (like Jams) didn't do much at all to the bike. Less is more with a Slim, IMHO.

As stated earlier, check out the other slim thread. There are lots of mods that are well thought out. Some odd ones too. Regardless, enjoy the ride.

Thanks... and you're right.
Most of what I've done has been mostly cosmetic...
Engine unchanged with the exception of A/C, pipes & Stage 1, and now running all synth.
I'm still using the stock wheels, tires, suspension, seat, handlebars...

What I have done includes:
H-D pullback risers
H-D aux. lights & visors
H-D mustache engine guard
H-D Get-A-Grip hand grips
H-D black mirrors
H-D swingarm & tool bags
H-D axle nut covers, black
H-D Motor Co. derby and timer covers
H-D analog speedo/tach
H-D quick-detach windshield
- added a LRS 16" tinted recurve shield
Custom Dynamics Knight Riderz LED brake light
Custom Dynamics LED bullet turn signals
V&H Big Shots, staggered, quiet baffles, chrome
S&S Super teardrop A/C, chrome
SEPST & Stage 1 tune
Nightrider FL-ViED-10's
& lots of black powder... front forks, slider covers, levers, risers, engine covers

Nice bike but I think you should lose the pipe wrap. I like the idea of the ape hangers, would like to see another pic when you have them on.

There are I many ways to go with the slim. Your pipes are awesome. Don't wrap those things. Can't wait to see more pics as you go.
