Default Saddle Bag Question

Looking at this bag - Highway Hawk Houston Bags with TEK Leather, it's about $250.

But it's TEK Leather (anyone have TEK Leather?)

They also have - Highway Hawk Houston Bags with Real Leather, and it is $320.

So my question is - is the real leather worth $70 more?

One site claims there is no visual difference and TEK will hold up in the weather better. Is this true?

How about you save the $250 or $320 and not go with bags. If it doesn't fit in you pocket you don't need it.

I haven't seen TEK material but have seen other pvc type bags and they don't look bad. No maintenance and weather resistant plus they hold their shape fairly well. Real leather to me is nicer but I also don't mind the associated maintenance of leather. It will deform and crease over time but to me that just adds character.

Just look at a standard HD seat, mostly they are all vinyl accept for certain aftermarket seats. That should give you an idea of what the TEK material will look like.

The bags you are referring to, I see the TEK stuff only saves you 20 to 30 bucks.

Get the leather.

No link, no look, no reply. That's the way people are. Just saying.
