Default Is this too close?....Swingarm question

Threw the chrome swingarm on today. I didn't make a note of how close the stock brake rail was on the swingarm. But when I looked at the chrome one it looks mighty close to the tire. I'm guessing there is only about 1/8-3/16" clearance there.

Can someone take a sec and look at their stock swingarm (2006 models with 200mm tire) and tell me how close it is by this rail? I'm going to run it by my local wrench to be sure but I'm thinking I'm going to need to/want to grind some of that away to get more clearance.

Thanks.

I just looked at mine; I could barely wedge a 1/8" allen wrench in there. I think you're OK.

No problem. I was looking for a reason to jam an allen wrench in my swingarm!

On my 07 Custom I can easily fit my finger between them and that's got to be over 1/2".
Are you sure you put the spacers in the same way?

Where abouts are you looking? I was looking at the tab near the rim for mounting the brake caliper.

I looked where bensonjv maked it in this picture.

I can get my fore finger in between the tire and the end of that bar the brake caliper sits on.
Maybe they changed something between 06 and 07 like the belt length and moved the tire up a little. It wouldn't take much of a move to get a lot more space in there. Or maybe the bar is a little shorter and doesn't come as far forward.
At this point your guess is as good as mine. In any case I don't think its anything to worry about unless the belt stretches and the tire needs to be moved back. Then it could become a problem. But with the newer Kevlar no stretch belts I don't see that happening anytime soon.

EDIT;
I just went out and looked again. This time I used a flashlight and looked more carefully.
Mine is shaped a little differently than the one in the picture. On his chromed one the foreward end is radiused at the end where mine appears to have more of a taper to the forward inch or soof the tab. That may be whyI canget my finger to fit in there.
I'll try to get a picture of it to show you what I mean.

Its hard to get a decent picture of it with all that black in there, but I did get one with my fingers up from underneath between the tab and the tire/rim. Now I don't have really fat fingers but its no problem slipping them in between up to the first joint.

LOL! Must be bedtime, I didn't even notice the pics.

It looks like his tab is shaped a little differently than mine. Mine has a notch cut out near the tire so it would be impossible for it to be that close without gouging the rim. When I did my measurement, I was looking at the rim, not the tire. However, if I didn't have that notch, I would speculate that it would be just as close to the tire as bensonjv's is.

Sorry for the confusion guys.
