Default RK Moco bags on Softail Slim?

Want to be able to slap on large bags now and then. I love the look (and price used) of the HD Road King bags. I have V&H shortshots so exhaust pipes is not a problem.
Any reason I can't use a quick detach system on my 2014 Slim to mount 2000 RK bags?
I am a decent fabber and have access to a better one so there is that.
I can, if need be, modify any bracketry.
Also...what prevents a loaded bag from swinging into the swing arm/wheel areas? All I see are two attachment points at the top, on most systems/bags. Shouldn't there be some bracket to hold them vertical?
Any tips? Ideas?
Chime in guys!

cycle visions makes a mounting bracket system for softails.. I have a set on my bike they are quick release just like the RK bags and yes the brackets stay on bike just like all the glides..

Default baggy

I use the RK classic bags on both my 011 Fatboy Lo and 08 Crossbones. You need to use or make the support brackets like the Cycle Visions or a wrecks gona happen. Takes less than ten minutes to remove the brackets if you want to go bagless & bracketless.

Thanks Colonel and Snowy...just the information I needed. Snagged a pristine set of 2000RK bags for $350 delivered. When they get here, I'll sort out cycle vision or my own fabbed mounts. Tired of the backpack :-)
