Default short shots for a breakout?

i know they are not supposed to officially fit but many people do them anyway. i am going to be one of those people. is there a particular part number i need to order or is it the same part number for all softails?

i only see 2 part numbers one for chrome and one for black..

You can check with V&H but in case you do not already know you do loose some low end torque with the shorter pipes.

A noticeable amount?

Is it fair to assume that once an air cleaner and stage 1 are added that it would be back above stock (even if not as high on a longer pipe or a 2 into 1) so it would still feel better than stock?

I'm ordering my Breakout on Saturday and agonising over pipes. At the moment Short Shots win.

You also need to know they are hard to tune for low end and very prone to decel popping. If that still works for you, go for it.

I believe compared to stock you will still get a increase across the power band, but low end torque will not be as good as it could be w/ a longer pipe.
