Default Who has a Center Stand on thier Softail.

I am thinking of putting one on my bike, 2012 Heritage. It would make it easier in my garage if the bike sat up straight and it would make some maintenance and cleaning chores easier too. Who has one? Did you like it or not? What is the best brand to buy? I was looking at the HD model. Any downside to getting one?

I had the Harley brand center stand on my 02 Fatboy. Loved it and used it often. Great when cleaning the bike or parking in a tight spot. When the bike is on the center stand it is very stable. More stable than when on the side stand. You'll loose about 1/4 inch of ground clearance. Nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately I had to remove mine when I mounted Dual exhaust. Not compatible with Duals.

Getting the bike up on the center stand is a little awkward the first couple times but you'll quickly get the hang of it.

Thanks for the reply. I take it then that the stand did not cause any further scraping when cornering. It appears that it is not a very popular addition. Maybe another good way to make my bike unique.

I considered the center stand as well, but the $335 price tag always got in the way.

I came across a used Condor Pit-stop and went that way and really like it.

I pull into the garage and set the front wheel into the Pit-stop and get off.
I also got the trailer adapter so whenever I trailer, I just lock the pit-stop in the trailer, add two straps and off I go.

As for cleaning and maintenance, I use my Sears yellow jack.
