Default What Handlebars On a Breakout

After riding the 2013 Breakout for three weeks I can not live with the stock Bars . I just reach too damn far and thinking 10 inch apes . What are people putting on I don't see any around so I need your option .

There are a lot of people running the Carlini apes and I have just ordered my apes from Burleigh bars. Most end up with 14 " or 16" though.

I haven't see many 10" apes that will fit. Some reason I think Todd's make a 10" in the 1 1/4" but I would need to check. I think its listed under a different bike though and not a Breakout - may have been a Fat Bob as it has the same size clamping area.

Edit: sorry, nope, the Fatbob bar is a 13"

I am in the same boat but i think i would look at 14" apes. It sounds like alot but you would be surprised. Burleighs are nice but $$$$$$$ ouch, to much for me right now.

I need to see some Handlebars on a Breakout . So far I have not seen any and that makes for a lot of hard decisions . As for 10 inch that is the only bar I have any experience with a 12 or 14 inch may be just the right one . But I really need to see them first .

At the risk of sounding like an idiot and apologies in advance but the 138 or so pages in the Everything Breakout thread should give you some different ideas on what people have done..... admittedly there hasn't been anywhere enough photos on the thread in a while

There is a Breakout pictures thread in the Softail section and the Everything Breakout thread. Between those two, there are a lot of bikes. But here is a pic of mine anyways because I am a picture ***** I guess.

These are 14" Carlini Pist.

Yes I have seen the thread Everything Breakout . To be honest that thread is just too big to sort thru . Good Idea just got away from being really useable .

These are the CVO bars. Extremely comfortable for me. (6' 200lbs) I ride 8+ hours with no back issues where the stock bars got sketchy after 3 hours or so.

Image upload is crashing my browser so here's a link to a photo.

This! Too many ape hangers running around anyway. Besides...IMO...Breakouts are low, long and look odd TO ME with with rider reaching up. Like putting a luggage rack, with luggage on a Vette.
