Default Used Shotgun Shock 07-17 Non-ABS

Pre-Sale:

Shotgun Shock off of my 07 Softail. Fits 2007-20017 without ABS and comes with polished switch plate. Lifetime warranty stays with the system.

I purchased new and installed 10 months ago. Reason for sale, I am going to install 422's with RAP instead.

My 422's arrive in 5 days and then I will remove the air ride and ship out. There is one wire repair I performed with heat shrink tubing protecting it. All works just like new.

I paid $1658 with tax, asking $1,200 Shipped to USA 48

If it wasn't for my oil bud oil cooler I would take you up on it. My 422s with RAP beat the snot outta me on the freeway expansion joints.

Free bump for ya

Not sure if you have or know. Adjust the non-RAP shock preload. Many have missed this it seems. It sets the base load/firmness level. Also remember if you lowered the ride height, it lessens your amount of suspension travel.

Thnx for the bump.

I have been considering going to the shotgun shock. From what I have read it seems to be top of the line upgrade for softail suspension . what didn't you like that caused you to switch to the 442's with RAP?

For 10 months I tried every possible combination to get the ride to perform well. While on mostly smooth compliant roads, it was very comfortable. However transitioning onto a back river road or sweeping freeway interchanges that wallow, I would have to slow down to feel safe.

The rear of the bike would be uncontrollable on the turns if I didn't back off the throttle and I would have to stand at times on straight rough roads because it would bounce way to much. All while my buddies were flat/stable and pulling away from me.

I will definitely miss the cool factor of dropping the bike when parked. But I should have known better. It is air ride and has trade offs. Really wanted to believe most of the glorification on here about it.

Just isn't good enough for me to give up reliable function and performance.

Most on here will disagree.
