ok, no flames here. how many here are going ? i am going, but will stay out of the city . mbbw is an institution for me, i have always had a good time down there. i'm looking now for a good motel north, south or west of the city limits.

 

I have been the last 5 years and really enjoyed it. However I will never spend money at the Grand Strand again. I am doing Cherokee instead. Gotta go where my cash is wanted.

 

I am sitting in the airport in Myrtle Beach heading back to Dallas and from all the people I talked to from the biker community they are upset at what the city is doing in regards to the rally. In each purchase I made a letter is put in your bag from dealers supporting the rally and encouraging people to attend.

 

I'm not going this year either. We're all going to the outer banks instead. No rally just us.
Anyway, we all stayed at a place called Ocean Creek Resort in North Myrtle right across from barefoot landing. The have nice Villas. They don't let you take your bikes into the resort, you have to park in a lot next to the guard shack. The tennis villas are right next to the lot. Been there several years and it's been a great place to stay. You'll be real close to the bypass around Myrtle also. Oceancreek.com
Had a lot of fun in Myrtle the last few years. I can't believe they're srewing it up.

I'm going too...will be my 9th time and this year I'll stay in Surfside Beach!

 

glad to see i'm not going to be the only one there. this will be my 12th rally in mb, i've been spring and fall every year since 2003. i know there are biker friendly places there that need us this year more than ever. i will support them. now to find a place to stay. we have always stayed on the mb grand stand, but no more. all suggestions / recommendations for lodging are appreciated

 

Why not staying on the Surfside Beach or North Myrtle Beach Grand Strand?
There are several places which look nice....
