Default Just got some Ohlins Rears.....Prog Fronts?

I just purchased some Ohlins S36E shocks and wanted to round it all off with the fronts as well. Would this work fine and has anyone have had experience with them on a sportster 48?

These aren't just the spring drop-in set, it's the monotubes that replace all the stock OEM internals.

Thanks all!!!!

Another possibility for cartridges is Traxxion.

you should be happy with those..anything is better than stock and the progressive with the proper weight springs will make a world of difference...I went with emulators, because I have an older bike and love them, the progressive cartridges look to give about the same ride... here is a link for emulators for you to read up on them... http://www.racetech.com/page/id/59

By contrast I have Emulators in my bike and don't rate them, which is why I didn't mention them! May as well not be there. Intiminators get good reviews over in Touring, which are an alternative add-in damping device. I have single-rate springs, which correct the incorrect sag the forks had from new, which gives increased suspension travel and reduce dive under braking.

Yup - I actually am looking at Racetech now. For $258 - emulators and the springs as a set. Good price if my rears end up not being "enough". We shall see!!!

I put the regular Progressive standard springs in my 2014 superlow and it made a world of difference. I am pleased with them.

I find this surprising (but true I am sure)...did you drill out the damping rod and have you tried to adjust them..it almost sounds like you need to tighten the adjustment nut or get a stronger spring for the emulator...I spoke to a few people who have them over the years and they all had good stuff to say about them....

They're fitted according to the instructions. A pal of mine has them in his Sporty and is happy with them, which is why I bought some for my bike, but I really can't tell any worthwhile difference. I haven't tried tuning them - to be frank the combination of variables and ambiguous interpretation of what they all do is off-putting, to say the least!
