Need more info on Monotubes
Been thinking and reading about Progressive Monotubes. There are a lot of threads out there, even here on HDF. What I have not liked reading so much about is the clunking issue. Some are saying the issue is fixed while others say, not so. Some are saying they have come out with new tubes that have fixed the problem but, some dealers may still have the bad ones. Again talk is about those that have a "clunk" using the 1" or 2" installation. Without Progressive doing a recall on all the bad ones, I am reluctant to purchase them.
Like most of us I don't want to waste my money but, there just aren't too many choices. I know some will mention the Ricors but, some have experienced valve problems and harshness with them also. May just end up keeping the stock front end. Please keep in mind I am staying with the stock height.
So I am doing a poll on who is using what and what experience you have had.

My experience with the Intiminators has been exeptional, you can read about it here
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...rk-better.html To be fair, some have experienced problems with every option out there, the only significant Ricor issues I've seen were with the shocks, but I'm not going to try to push the Intiminators any further. I would like to offer a consideration; no matter what product you go with, suspension needs to be tuned to suit you, and to my knowledge the monotubes have no adjustability features, hence not tunable. I imagine just a set of properly weight matched springs with the OEM valves would be a great improvement, that would only be about $100.00 if you do the work.

Good day, Smokin'......
If you speak to and order directly from Progressive - you are sure to get the latest product.
If you speak with them about your concerns; I'm sure they will build your confidence...
Questions like this I always refer to the Horses's mouth.....not the other end.....
Just my thoughts...

Dave; I don't have the 1 or 2 inch lowered if that's the info that you are lookin for.
If this is what you want to specificallyknow about I would contact Progressive. They may chime in on this post too.
I have just the regular monotubes and would never go back to plain ol' springs ever again after running the monotubes. When I installed the chrome front end I figured it was time to take care of business with those dumb assed springs. No regrets about it either.
