Just curious how you mounted the Viking bags. I'm torn between hard mounting behind the shocks and relocating the turn signals, or just getting the QD system to avoid moving the turn signals.

 

All ammo cans are quick detach. Remove lock lift handle and go. Quick,simple.

 

IMHO not the most attractive but it's functional....what is that metal piece behind your seat?

 

It's attempting to be a rack for bags, seat whatever. Always quick disconnect. So I can change up and be flexible.

 

These Viking Bags have shock cutout P/N CHAR-800-S for my 1200C and comes with good mounting hardware and instructions. On my custom I shimmed the rear mount out to make the bags mount straight with the bike. I bought Harley turn signal relocation kit P/N 68732-02A.

I like the bags and they're reasonably priced.

 

Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure based off the pics if they were the cutout bags. I have bags from the original owner and they don't have the cutout so I'm figuring out all my options!

 

Awesome sporty, how hard was the tank swap, including locating everything for the dash and ignition if you don't mind me asking? I'd love to do something similar on my 2007 1200L.

My Sportster Bagger as it stands now. Replacing front fender with Sumax Loboy fender soon.
