Default Rear brake master cylinder / passenger pegs

The rear brake master cylinder is occupying the bottom passenger peg bolt on the right hand side of my 2014 Sporty 48.

I see that when you purchase the passenger peg mount kit from Harley for my specific bike, it has an extra bolt hole that will move the master cylinder mount to allow for pegs...

Has anyone done this? Is it a pain? Dealer said 129.99 to do it for me excluding the parts which I have.

XLFORUM has a write up with pictures from someone who did it recently. Can be a PAIN. Depends on your mechanical skills and what your pain tolerance is. For $129...I would do it myself...but that's me.

If you look up that footpeg kit on the H-D website you can read the installation instructions, which should show more details. Compare with the parts illustrated on an on-line parts website and it looks perfectly straight-forward to me. Your master cylinder is currently mounted on a bracket that will be replaced by the footpeg mounting bracket.

I did this on my 2014 forty-eight. I had to fully remove my exhaust to access the bolts for the master cylinder. Its not too hard it just takes a bit of time.
