Default Found this Air Cleaner Intake Kit for an Iron

I found this on ebay and was wondering if anyone has seen it, used it, or knows anything worth while about it. It's from China, which always scares me, but Rough Crafts seems to be a legit company...

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Is it worth even considering? Where can replacement filters be purchased?

TBH i think this one may be too good to be true. just looking at the rough craft website it is highly unlikely that they would be selling a AC kit for $60 plus shipping though eBay, when they are listed for $360 on their website. Probably a knock off.....

Again in could be completely wrong! (in which case ill be buying one myself cause it looks great IMO)

here's a link to their website and the sporty AC they make.

Hope this helps

You can tell its a fake because the filter element is different and the bolts are different than the ones on the actual website. For 60 dollar though why not try it

Rough Crafts is from Taiwan. They make really nice stuff.

That part is an obvious knock-off and probably is actually from China. You'll want to change the filter for a real K&N. As typical with Chinese knock-off hardware, the fasteners are likely junk and should be replaced.

i bought one off of ebay (knowing it wasn't authentic)
i ended up getting it for $45, not a bad product....but

-filter is crap
-and the spacers need to be about 1/8 - 1/4 inch longer. i had to slip two washers in addition to make the head bolts tight enough.

- the top doesnt line up properly when tightened all the way down.
they got 95% of it dead on, but the fit and finish isnt there.

just my .02
