I couldn't agree more... I just think it's funny how everyone fights the new and improved technology.

LOL! I ask for these things of my bike.

1. It looks good

2. It sounds good

3. It runs good

Do I give a crap if it's 2 hp more than a 05? Do I care if it is a second slower or faster than an old Sportie? Nope.

Just ride.
I don't get all that excited about horsepower and acceleration figures, as I'm not a motorcycle racer.

I buy bikes that are dependable, comfortable long range cruisers, and could care less how fast they can get from stoplight to stoplight.

((Speaking of cruising, did another 325+ miles yesterday while attending a benefit event up in Liberty/Blue Springs Missouri area.))

Just doing some searching and found this debate... Find it interesting... Here is why.

I have a 98 1200 custom with the stage 1 upgrade and an 07 custom with Rush slip on's only.
Both bikes feel fast and nimble... they have different feels and I like them both. The carb bike is rougher and not as quick with throttle response... But a lot of fun to ride. The 07 is smoother and has much quicker throttle response than the 98. They are both great and both are quick in there own way...
Why argue...

One thing is true... The carb bike is a lot cheaper to upgrade than the EFI bike.
