Hey Guys,

Are all Grips for Harleys the same? Meaning will grips from touring model fit a Sporty?

Thanks -

No, depending on the year & model, grips vary by bike...what yr/model you referring to swap grips on?

You can stop paying $100.00 for Harley grips every time you want to change them and start using $20.00 after market grips that are really comfortable and they can be changed out in minutes.

Just be careful with those $20 grips. I got a set and the throttle tube made the right hand grip split down the seam. The place I ordered them from didn't replace it either.

I read that some aftermarket bars have different tubing diameters so I suspect some manufacturers produce different diameters.

If they did the they wouldn't fit in the risers very well. I'm pretty sure that all Sportsters and big twins are 1" and that all the 1" bars from aftermarket companies are definitely 1". That is of course unless they're metric or theose 1 1/4" chubbie bars.

I have a 2015 Forty Eight - And I want something more comfortable when I change my bars. Looking at Performance Machine grips just want to make sure I dont buy the wrong ones. I have to have them shipped from The US to Brazil. (Not sure what I was thinking when I moved here)

These are the grips I want -

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/p...cable-throttle

But they come in different fitment, and I cannot find what is the correct fitment. Are forty eights dual cable throttle?

The size of the bar end you're getting will determine what size grip to get. Most are 1". I just looked at Ronnies Parts finder and you have dual cables.

Yes I'm sure all Sportsters are dual cable. I'm sure on Revzilla's site you can enter your bike year and model and it will confirm if the parts your looking at will fit.
