Default Vances & Hines Short Shots

Hello all I have a 2016 Iron 883 and was wondering if I put the short shots exhaust on do I have to buy a new A/C and get it tuned, or will the bike run fine with just doing the exhaust

Bike is already lean from the factory to meet EPA regs. IMO even a stock bike will run better with a tuner.

The guy at the dealership said I couldn't just do a full exhaust without a tune and A/C, that it would mess the bike up, and make it run like crap

Sounds like you already think you know the answer so, why are you asking on here if you're not going to listen to member's advice??

You need a tune if you replace the exhaust AND the a/c, not one or the other. Dealer is, of course, trying to upsell you.

"the guy at the dealership" recently told someone on here that he should be using sixth gear when on the highway on his Sportster..."the guys at the dealerships" are idiots!
