Oxygen sensor remove will Fuelpak FP3?
Okay, so you guys will have to forgive me since I'm relatively new to Harleys, having come from the sport bike scene.
I searched the crap out of this but couldn't find anything conclusive. I have a 2013 Harley Forty Eight, and I recently purchased a V&H Fuelpak FP3. I have heard some people remove their O2 sensors in the process and eliminate them altogether (though I'm not sure how this is accomplished without throwing a code), and others keep their O2 sensors.
My question is, is one way better than the other?
On my other bike (an Aprilia RSV4), when you add the official Aprilia Race ECU, it allows you to completely eliminate the O2 sensor without throwing any codes at all, since the Race ECU doesn't require it.
With the FP3, I know it's not an actual ECU replacement, but a piggyback unit. However, I'm curious if removing the O2 sensors is something that people advise, or advise against.
Thanks in advance!
