I will. I'm going to keep the paughco z bars, sissy rail, some other bits.. and if I can't do a color change I have some 2011 dodge ram tequila sunrise left over from the first time I painted it. Yeah I had it first hahaha. Thinking of a dark red with a ton of gold flake, then using the gold for either scallops or a dual pinstripe on the tank and fender. Its raining or id get a pic with the le para and p pad. I love the late 60s style bikes.

Maybe. Mine is a 1200 Low, has a different tube part number than the rest. Having trouble finding length.

If you only want to go up maybe 1-1.5", you could just change
the damper tubes. Here's an old (but good) thread on the XLF
with alot of pictures starting at #25

The pic that caught my eye was this one:

I want to go at least 4, possibly 6. The damper tubes are another worry; do I have to change them too?

so little info out there specific to the Low

I dont think you "have to", but the longer damper tubes would give
you more suspension travel. Probably makes for a better ride.
If you get time, check out the link above, it has some Low info in it.

good luck,

Thanks again guys. I'll have to disassemble my forks and measure them to be sure. I guess that's why it's a winter project. At least I can repaint it too.

The more I read the more I agree. dampers aren't too pricey, expect I'll put the longer ones in when I do the forks.

A bit worried about the job, lots of little parts, looks kinda complex.
