I have a 2001 sportster. While riding down the rode it will hesitate and the speedo will drop to zero then back up to the correct speed. I can go miles without this happening then it will happen for miles. The engine hesitates each time it happens.
Please advise.....

 

Check your battery terminal connections. Make sure they are good and tight!

 

I had the same thing happen to one of my bikes. With your speedo resetting you can be assured you're losing electrical connection somewhere. If it's not the battery terms, post again and we'll get it troubleshot eventually!
