Default 09 1200C Low fuel light question

Can the yellow and white wire for the low fuel sensor be disconnected so the low fuel light DOESN'T come on? Don't really want to spend the $$ on a new sensor and always go by mileage for fuel. The light is annoying to say the least and it comes on when it feels like it, whether it's full, 1/2, etc.
Thanks in advance

Hi, sorry for bringing this topic up after all these years.

Have you tried disconnect the wire? If yes, did the light came off?

Thanks in advance

I'm sorry, I hope that some day you'll recover and ride again.

After some searching and tests the light doesn't come off because the lack of voltage turns the light on as a warning sign.
I removed the wire and the light kept on. What could have been done is using a higher tensing resistor on the Fuel Sender Resistor to bring the light off and keeping the warning system to act therefore tuning the light off.

Thank you for your answer, Best regards
