Default Screaming Eagle 1200 kit question

Hey everyone, perhaps a dumb question but I will ask it anyways.

I have this kit on my 2017 Iron (minus the intake, I have a Joker Machine). Would this kit be the exact same engine you would receive on a 48 or other factory 1200 Sportster? I'm not asking for "better" just curious if there are any differences. Cheers

i think the recent sporty 883s have have similar or the same gearing as 1200s.

Interesting, as H-D used to use the same primary and different front pulley. As Cvaria points out the secondary is now the same on both 883 and 1200 models. Wonder why they made that change?!

yeah, it should make his bike quicker than a stock 1200.
I mean that it should pull harder based on the lower gearing.
Now, add some good pipes (not short shots) and a PowerVision and you will be all set

I've read it here a few times, and have to ask, what's with the Short Shots hate on this forum? Most 883s I see for sale locally, with upgraded exhaust, have Short Shots, so its obviously a popular product.

I have Big Radius and TTS Mastertune. Still need to dyno it as I'm getting a lot of decel popping after the conversion.

Thanks for that gear info.

I'm quite happy with it so far. The motor doesn't really care what gear it's in now and just goes.

I think it's because just about everyone has them. There loud and hard to tune. And yea the 1200 kit makes a big difference.
