Hello!

So I just converted my 04 XL883 to a 1250 with a Hammer basic kit. Using the Daytona TC88A, I'm still getting the U1016 code (speedo issue). Anyone know what VSS setting I should use for this set up? Stock 883 gearing.

Found it: 1682 worked for me. No more codes and the speedo seems to be reading correctly. Also, I'm not losing my Trip miles anymore so I don't have to guess on when it's time to fill up, ha!

Its more like 1328 on that bike.

 

Ha, thanks @rocketmangb , been a couple of years on this one. Question for you on ignition while you brought this up: Have you ever seen someone switch from an ICU style ignition to a nose cone style like the pre-04 bikes? I was thinking about doing that if it was possible on my 04 chop, to simplify the wiring a bit more.

 

I have heard of it being done.
