2014 Engine Roughness
The bike isn't fully broken in yet!
Did the PO install a stage 1 (air cleaner and exhaust)?
Was it tuned for the stage 1?
Does it have a piggy back type "tuner"? Xied FP3 etc..
Check your spark plug gaps, set them to 0.038 - 0.040.
Take the bike out on the Interstate run it at about 70 mph in 3rd and 4th for about a mile in each gear. 3rd gear at 70 mph should get you to about 4500 rpms, 4th gear should be about 3800 rpms. That should blow it out pretty well
FYI 5th gear at 70 mph is about 3200 rpms.

I have the same year/model bike--and as others have said, 3000+ is it's 'smooth' range. Got it with 600 miles--it finally seemed to loosened up after about 3000 miles (so did I). I also have an FP3 tuner--makes no difference regarding smooth below 3000.
My old Sportster with a carb ran smooth almost down to idle speed.
My 2016 Roadster with fuel injection lugs and chugs at 2000 rpm.
2500 is about the minimum it likes - a bit higher is better.
Took me a while to wrap my head around that.
