1988 Sportster 1200 Wiring Diagram?
So I purchased a 1988 Sportster 1200 to have some fun in the summer after doing some work in the winter.
I'm currently done with all work besides fixing the signal wiring that a previous owner has ALL messed up. I'm wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram in aspects of the headlight and signals.
My main concern is there is 2 orange wires as well as a small black light connector tucked and hidden that I feel have something to do with the signals as to why they are not working correctly.
If anyone could help me by showing me a readable wiring diagram and giving me a link to one that would be of assistance it would be very much appreciated!!!

If you're working on your bike an FSM would be a wise investment, as it will not only provide a wiring diagram, but also stacks more useful info! You may be able to access a wiring diagram on the H-D website, go to the Owners tab and take a look around.
Definately get ahold of a FSM (or equivelant) as grbrown wisely recommends. In addition to the FSM, you can most likely download a free color wiring diagram PDF from various sources on the net. I found a PDF wiring download for my electrically butchered '94 that I enlarged to a legal size paper printout in a 'landscape' format. This makes for an easy to see reference while you're working on the wiring.
